Service Description

This one day workshop helps kids learn how to understand their worries, calm their minds and bodies, and grow in confidence. Through fun, interactive activities and simple, practical tools, students will learn how to manage anxious thoughts, handle big emotions, and believe in themselves. Each session focuses on building skills like calming techniques, positive thinking, and courage to face challenges—helping kids feel more in control and confident in everyday situations. Spaces are LIMITED. Ages 7-12. Dates: Tuesday June 9th, 9:00-11:00AM at The Batesville Public Library (Meeting Room A)


Cancellation Policy

Calm and Confident Small Group Policy The Calm and Confident Small Group is designed to support children in building confidence, managing worries, and developing healthy coping skills in a safe and supportive environment. Sessions include guided discussions, activities, and skill-building exercises. Group Expectations To create a positive experience for all participants: Students will be respectful of others’ thoughts, feelings, and personal space. Students are encouraged to participate but will not be forced to share. Kindness, listening, and encouragement are expected at all times. Confidentiality What is shared in the group stays in the group. Students will be reminded to respect others’ privacy. The group leader will maintain confidentiality except in situations involving safety concerns (harm to self or others, or abuse), which must be reported according to school policy and law. Attendance Consistent attendance is important for group success. Parents/guardians should notify the group leader of any absences. Repeated absences may result in removal from the group to allow space for others. Behavior Guidelines Disruptive or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated. If behavior interferes with the group, the student may receive: A reminder of expectations A private check-in Possible removal from the session if needed Communication with Parents/Guardians General updates about group topics and skills may be shared. Specific personal details shared by a child will remain confidential unless there is a safety concern. Parents are encouraged to reinforce skills at home. Scope of Services: This group is educational and skill-based, not a substitute for individual therapy. If a child needs additional support, referrals may be recommended. Safety and Well-Being Any concerns related to a child’s safety will be taken seriously and addressed immediately. Appropriate school staff and/or guardians will be notified when necessary.
